Last week, four members of our department traveled to Scranton, Pennsylvania, for the final inspection of our brand-new Sutphen engine. The apparatus is equipped with a 1,000-gallon water tank, a 1,500 GPM pump, LED scene lighting, and a remote-control deck gun.
Following the successful inspection, the engine made its way back to Uniontown, where it will be outfitted with equipment. Once fully equipped, our department personnel will undergo training to ensure everyone is familiar with its features and capabilities. After training is complete, the new engine will be officially placed into service, enhancing our ability to respond to emergencies and protect our community.
