Recruitment Process
Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive selection process that includes:
- Oral Interviews: Assessing communication skills and suitability for the role.
- Written Assessment: Evaluating essential knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical Agility Assessment: Testing physical readiness for the demands of the job.
- Practical Assessment: Demonstrating skills relevant to firefighting and emergency medical response.
- Background Check: Including checks on criminal history and driving records.
- Physical Evaluation: Conducted by a physician, including drug testing, to ensure fitness for duty.
Minimum Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
18 Years or Older
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Ohio Driver's License
Required Documents for Post-Interview Process
After the initial interview, candidates will be asked to provide the following:
- A recent color portrait-type photo.
- A copy of your valid Ohio Driver’s License.
- A copy of your current Ohio Firefighter and/or EMS card (if applicable).
- Copies of all certifications listed in the application.
- Copies of ICS 100, 200, and 700 Certifications (if applicable).
- A copy of your High School Diploma.
- A copy of your College Diploma or transcript (if applicable).
