Four members of our department traveled to Scranton, PA last week for the final inspection of our new Sutphen engine, which will soon be placed into service in Uniontown.

UFD Conducts Valuable Training Exercise Using Dry Hydrant
Today, the Uniontown Fire Department seized the opportunity presented by the favorable weather to conduct a crucial training exercise involving a dry hydrant. A dry hydrant is an essential firefighting tool, consisting of a non-pressurized pipe system that’s installed in a static water source like a lake or pond. This setup allows firefighters to efficiently draw water directly into a fire truck by drafting.
UFD Firefighters Enhance Skills with Special Training Session at Closed Movie Theater
Today, several members of the Uniontown Fire Department participated in a valuable training session at the recently closed Interstate Regal movie theater in the City of Green. This unique setting provided our team with an excellent opportunity to simulate real-life scenarios that firefighters might encounter during emergencies.
UFA Firefighters Takes the Cold Plunge for Charity
Yesterday, four brave members of the Uniontown Firefighters Association took an exhilarating dip into the icy waters of Portage Lakes, joining approximately 900 other courageous souls in a chilly charity plunge. Adding to the excitement, participants even reported a sighting of a polar bear mascot cheering them on!
