Today, several members of the Uniontown Fire Department participated in a valuable training session at the recently closed Interstate Regal movie theater in the City of Green. This unique setting provided our team with an excellent opportunity to simulate real-life scenarios that firefighters might encounter during emergencies.

The day’s training exercises focused on critical rescue operations, including managing a downed firefighter scenario, utilizing Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) packs, practicing buddy breathing techniques, and conducting targeted rescue drills. These drills are crucial for ensuring that our team is prepared to handle a variety of challenging situations, enhancing their skills in coordination, quick response, and life-saving techniques.

We are incredibly grateful to the Serra Auto Group for providing us with access to the theater, which served as an ideal environment for our realistic and intensive training exercises. This partnership highlights the community’s support for our fire department and its dedication to ensuring the highest level of preparedness and safety.

Our firefighters showed great dedication and professionalism throughout the training, demonstrating their commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in service. Training sessions like these are invaluable for keeping our skills sharp and our responses effective, ready to protect and serve our community at all times.
